HELP NEEDED - SANITY AT STAKE!

Hey everyone!

Lately I've been driven to the brink of insanity by my dirty low pass filter. I use pressurized air to blast the dust of, and a sensorklear lenspen to get the smudgy stuff. However, as I am constantly switching between lenses, I'm having to clean it all the time. Unfortunately a lot of times I forget, and then I go and do a three minute exposure, only to sob in agony when I open it up on my computer.

Help! How do you guys keep your sensors clear and your sanities intact? I must know.

I recommend a pause of a minute or two between a lens change and a capture. This allows for some static discharge to occur on your sensor. Plus the other stuff...change lens in a "clean" place and even use a custom transparent bag if outdoors to change lenses in terrible weather. My sensor is terribly dirty and avoid closed or high apertures until I get some proper sensor cleaning stuff.

...forgot to mention...NEVER use pressurized air (you just shift dust around) and try a vacuum in conjunction with air blasting if you insist on pressurized air.

[link] I use the pec pad method but it takes more effort to get it done right than it said it would. the pad can shed some and it needs to be repeated if dust falls in.

Ah see I can never get myself to pause, usually when I change a lens its in the middle of the action, and I have to do it quickly or lose the moment. Yeah mine gets hideously dirty every couple of weeks, and quite frankly if I have to keep cleaning it I'm going to go insane. I seriously need to get myself a D300. Self-cleaning sensors FTW!
